Continuing the Hawkeye basketball theme today, I loved this article from The Athletic about the men who run as the practice squad against the Hawkeye women. Mostly former high school players, these guys study and emulate upcoming opposition players to help the women’s team prepare. And get run ragged doing it.

Sternke: Repentance as Economic Redistribution

Father Ben Sternke with a fun insight in his newsletter today:

John the Baptist’s first answer to this question is economic redistribution: “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food to share should do the same.” He goes on to tell tax collectors and soldiers to stop practicing extortion and injustice.

ESPN, Fox, and Warner to create a sports streaming bundle

ESPN, Fox, and Warner announced they are creating a unified sports streaming bundle that will be available later this year. Notably missing: NBC. Still, 95% of what we watch on live TV is sports... and I can get OTA channels via my networked tuner. Maybe an option to ditch YouTubeTV? Time will tell I guess.
